About Me

Well my real name is Theresa, but everyone calls me Teddi. I go by either and don't prefer one over the other. I am 25 years old and married to the love of my life, Daniel. We got married in October of 2010 after 6 1/2 years of dating.

I was born and raised in Torrance, California. It's a very large city in the south bay. My entire family is there along with my adorable little nephew who was born in September of 2010, just two weeks before our wedding. I am so happy to be a Tia (aunt in Spanish), he brought so much joy to my life and it made me so much more excited to have one of my own someday.

I'm 1/2 Hispanic, even though I don't look it at all. My sister got the Hispanic skin from my dad and I inherited my mom's fair skin, although I do tan very easily. Everything about the Hispanic culture just fascinates me. I really do embrace the culture and I wish I spoke more Spanish. My grandpa and 2 out of 3 of my Tia's are fluent in Spanish. I took 4 years of it in high school and in college, but I still would love to learn more. Our family is very Hispanic though, if you were stuck in a room them you would leave with your stomach full and your ears ringing cause of how loud we all are. I love them though, they're everything to me.

I moved to Rochester, New York in 2004. It was a very hard move for me because of how close I am to my family. My parents are everything to me and my sister is my best friend in the whole world. She was just starting her Senior year in High School and I wasn't going to be there to help her through it. My cousin was just about to give birth to her first baby girl, my favorite little girl in the whole world, and I was scared I was going to miss out on everything.

I adjusted quickly to life in New York. I 've made lots of new friends and I love my job. Our winters are still taking some getting used to, I don't think anyone really gets used to how cold it gets here, but I'm making it through. I'm not going to lie; sometimes while I'm scraping the ice off my car I wonder what the hell I was thinking, moving from sunny California, but I guess in the end: love conquers all.

I started on my AS degree when I "officially" became a NYS resident. My original goal was to attend school to get my degree in Interior Design, however I've come to realize that particular field of study isn't so desired here as it is in Los Angeles. I changed up my game plan a little and just went for a general degree in Liberal Arts and Science. I graduation in December of 2009 at MCC.

I work as a Distribution Support Services Expediter at a local contact lens distribution company in Rochester. I've been here since October of 2004. I love my job. I am pretty comfortable in my position here and I think I can excel a little further if I obtained a degree in Informational Technology. So my next goal is to get a BA at RIT, in IT.

I love all things girly. I am a girly girl at heart. I enjoy shopping and I'm a firm believer in retail therapy, but my husband thinks I have an addiction problem. Who cares if I do? I say if it makes you happy do it; as long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else.
